Ap Kubi - Long Forward Stance

Stage 2      Stage 1
Stage 1 - 'charyot sogi' (attention stance) - Standing upright; feet at approximately 45
                  degrees angle; fists clenched; arms down by the sides.

Stage 2 - 'pyoni sogi' (easy stance) - From previous stance move left foot approximately one
                  foot to the left side. Maintain same angle (45 degrees) as in previous stance.


Stage 3 -  Keep right foot fixed on the floor, pivot on the left heel (heel does not move) to the
                   right approximately 3" or until it points straight forward (do not move left foot heel).
                   Keep body upright; both heels on the ground; arms in front of the body.


Stage 4 - 'ap kubi' (long forward stance) - From previous stance move left foot forward 
                  approx. 2.5 feet (left foot pointing forward). Body upright; both heels on the ground;
                  hechyo makky; front knee bent; back leg straight. Most body weight on front foot.
