About Us
Welcome to our 48th aniversary and thank you for your interest in the Susac's Taekwondo & Self-Defense Academy. We are certain that your martial arts journey with us will be one of the most powerful experiences in your life.
Susac's Taekwondo & Self-Defense Academy is a traditional Korean martial art school affiliated with the World TaeKwonDo Federation and specializing in not only the physical aspects of the martial arts, but also the philosophy. In this environment, taekwondo students have the opportunity to learn how modesty, integrity, perseverance, self-control, indomitable spirit, and self-respect are not just words at Susac's Taekwondo & Self-Defense Academy classes, but principles to live by. In this environment, you will understand how the physical and philosophical ideologies come together to create a sound self-defense system as well as promote a balanced way of living.
The founder - he is Tony Susac a 7th Dan Tae Kwon Do and highly respected Principal Head Instructor of Susac's Taekwondo & Self-Defence Academy. His Martial Arts journey began in 1971 under the watchful eye and instruction of late Master Instructor K. S. Chang. His teaching career started in 1976 in the South Gippsland region of Victoria and he has been offering instruction and training in traditional Taekwondo ever since.
Over the next 44 years he opened many Taekwondo and Self-Defence centres throughout Victoria. Many thousands students started their Martial Arts journey with him and have achieved their most powerful experiences in their lives.
He and all his Black Belt students and Instructors are WTF and KukkiWon registered. He is a member of Taekwondo Australia and Taekwondo Victoria Inc. where he holds a senior position on the Executive Council.
In 1985 he founded ATA - Australasian Taekwondo Academy and in 1991 he was a founding member of the Guild of Australian Black Belts and recently a co-founder of Hoshindo Australia.

Mornington Peninsula Martial Arts and Self Defence branches are located in Rosebud and Blairgowrie.
Rosebud Taekwondo and Self Defence branch
Regular weekly Taekwondo and Self defence classes are held Tuesdays at Rosebud Memorial Hall, Nepean Hwy, starting 6:30 until 8:00 pm.
Blairgowrie Taekwondo and Self Defence branch
Regular weekly Taekwondo and Self defence classes are held Thursdays
at Blairgowrie community Centre Hall, William Road, Blairgowrie, also starting at 6:30 until 8:00 pm.
Children's classes are held regularly on both nights.
All students learn the Traditional Martial Art of Taekwondo as well as skills in Taekwondo Competition, Self Defence, Stick Fighting and other life skills with emphasis on respect, patience and how to stay out of trouble.
These classes are not just for the children but for the whole family.
